Dr. Kathleen Neuhoff, co-director of Magrane Pet Medical Center, is a 1979 Purdue graduate. Board certified in feline and canine practice, she has specialized training in ophthalmology, dermatology, immune diseases, and surgery.

In addition to caring for dogs and cats, she also treats exotic pets.  Dr. Neuhoff is very active in veterinary associations and was President of the American Animal Hospital Association in 2002-2003.

Dr. Neuhoff has a passionate belief in the value of the bond between pets and their owners and strives to foster that bond while working to keep her patients healthy and happy.

Dr. Neuhoff shares her life with her husband, Ken, 4 children, 5 horses, and a kitty.

Being Texas-born, Dr. Lovick finished Texas A&M University with his DVM in 1964. He and his wife of 56 years, Charlene, have a son (New Carlisle) and a daughter (Buffalo, NY).  They left Texas in 2004, After selling their successful veterinary practice, moving to Valparaiso, Indiana, so as to be closer to their children and grandchildren.

Dr. Lovick, with a rural background, practiced large and small animal medicine in Texas. Here, he concentrating on a small animal practice solely. He and his wife recently moved to New Carlisle, to be closer to their son.

Dr. Shafer was born and raised in Elkhart, Indiana. Following graduation from Purdue University, where she earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.), Dr. Shafer opened Shafer Animal Hospital, a small animal practice in Elkhart.

Dr. Shafer closed her practice after 20 years to accept a position as an Emergency and Critical Care practitioner in Phoenix, Arizona. After practicing in Arizona for about a year and one half, Dr. Shafer returned to Elkhart and has done relief work at many practices prior to joining the staff at Ireland Animal Clinic.

Dr. Shafer loves the practice of veterinary medicine and strives to always practice in the most compassionate way possible. She especially enjoys Emergency and Critical Care Medicine, Pain Management, Anesthesia, and Surgery, as well as ongoing Continuing Education.
